This event is part of THE VANPORT MOSAIC FESTIVAL 2019, (May 21-June 5) It’s “two weeks of memory activism opportunities to explore the many silenced histories that surround us through screenings, tours, performances, exhibits and dialogues.” I helped volunteer with this tour last year and this was a highlight of the festival for me. I’ll be volunteering again this year on this tour. Tickets still available, if you’d like to join me and learn about Portland history ...
Join Kent Ford, founder of Portland's chapter of the '60s-era black empowerment organization, for a walking tour in NE Portland. Listen to his personal memories of revolutionary activism and community service, and be inspired for today’s fight for change.
A walking tour map/educational resource designed by Paste In Place will be available by donation on site.
